THE ADVOCATE The North West Tall Timbers Thunder have opened up applications for their head coach for next year and have asked Sam Armstrong to reapply.
As chairman Tony Barker told The Advocate this week, it is club protocol to advertise the position. “(But) I’d be rapt if we could Sam back in that role next season, but we have to follow due process,’’ he said. In a statement released late Thursday, the Thunder’s board on called on “qualified coaches” to apply.
“It is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate person wanting to progress their basketball coaching career” while also developing the future of NW Tall Timbers Thunder basketball program.”
The Thunder finished eighth on the SEABL ladder before losing their elimination final to Geelong 96-74.
